y2kfrugalista x Euphoria Market

In 2019, during her senior year of high school, Patricia saw the early 2000s fashion revival take over the resale world. Inspired by the growing popularity of Depop, she started selling pieces from her own wardrobe at budget-friendly prices, quickly making eight to ten sales a day. It didn’t take long for her to realize she had a talent for curating vintage fashion. With that, y2kfrugalista was born — a go-to for early 2000s lovers looking for unique and affordable pieces.

What started as a simple side hustle soon turned into something bigger. Patricia immersed herself in the reseller community, learning the ins and outs of vintage fashion through YouTube and peer engagement. “Learning from others validated my instincts,” she says. “It made me more confident in my business decisions.”

Today, Patricia operates y2kfrugalista on Depop, Whatnot, and Poshmark, offering handpicked clothing and accessories that capture the bold and playful essence of Y2K fashion. She has expanded her brand beyond online platforms, participating in pop-up markets, live-stream sales, and content creation — all while staying true to her mission of making vintage fashion accessible.

Her advice to aspiring entrepreneurs? Trust yourself and operate with integrity. “The journey has ups and downs, but perseverance is key,” Patricia shares. “Growth comes from pushing yourself outside your comfort zone.” With a strong foundation and a passion for the craft, y2kfrugalista proves that secondhand style is here to stay.

Check out y2kfrugalista vending at the DMV Women’s Market this Saturday, March 15th, from 4 to 8 PM at 8480 Tyco Rd Unit E, Vienna, VA 22182!
