On February 8th, Fambie Pokez, renowned for her creative approach to piercings, joined forces with LINES, a tattoo atelier and hub of creative expression in New York City to bring the groundbreaking event: Fashion Meets Flesh. This play-piercing runway show redefined the boundaries of fashion and body modification.

Fashion Meets Flesh, hosted at LINES' studio, showcased the fusion of fashion and play piercing, captivating attendees with its boldness and artistry. Salome Hernandez, the show manager, revealed the meticulous 10-week coordination process, emphasizing the dedication to every detail.

When asked about the show, Fambie said, “In this day and age of celebrated collaborations with artists and various mediums, this is my opportunity to build a bridge between fashion and body modification. The idea of pushing the envelope of creativity came early in my piercing career, and this show is proof. I hope to have guests leave the venue with their jaws on the floor.”

According to Crystal Pfeifer and Jiwon Ra, founders of LINES, Fambie's work transcends traditional fashion, transforming the human body into a canvas of artistic expression. 

This event allowed Fambie to build a bridge between fashion and body modification and pioneer such collaboration within traditional New York Fashion Week standards.
