Days of yore
Two years in the making, Tyis Indasorn and Chris Diaz transformed their dream into reality when they founded Days of Yore in 2023. The brand, standing for "days of the past/historic times," is more than just a streetwear/style label; it's a timeless piece of history designed to age gracefully and be remembered.
Tyis and Chris, always in talks about starting a brand, found the spark they needed when they landed on the name. Their vision is simple yet profound: they create clothes they love to wear, emphasizing quality and a classic cut that resonates with their supporters.
Days of Yore has seen success with three drops, all selling out over time. Tyis attributes this to the brand's adherence to running a successful venture. "We believe if people like a piece of clothing, they'll return," Tyis explains.
According to them, the biggest achievement is the genuine love and dedication of their supporters who proudly rep the brand.
For Tyis and Chris, the philosophy of "everything in due time" guides their journey. They prioritize organic marketing, growing a base that genuinely appreciates the brand's quality.
Looking ahead, they plan to develop an entire line at their own pace, focusing on continual improvement rather than rushing designs.
Despite the success, Tyis and Chris emphasize that Days of Yore is about something other than the money. All earnings are reinvested back into the brand, reflecting their passion for the craft.
Currently, they are sampling hoodies and sweatpants for the upcoming fall/winter collection, promising something special for their 1-year anniversary next March.
Reflecting on their journey, Tyis and Chris acknowledge they aren't where they want to be, but they've come a long way from knowing where to start.
Their advice to aspiring entrepreneurs echoes their own experience: just start, get out there, and let the journey unfold organically. For Days of Yore, the future holds exciting possibilities, and supporters are urged to stay tuned for what's to come.
