Capital Nights

In a celebration of gratitude and empowerment, Capital Nights, a dynamic event-planning business, hosted the Thankful for Women Thanksgiving Party at Astoria’s Kitchen in Washington DC on November 25th.

Comprising a passionate team led by Leah Andarge, Izabella Rodriguez, Shaun Njovens, Cam Battle, Nicole Meono, Mahmood Kanu, and Moulaye Dina, Capital Nights works to make quality celebrations accessible to all in the DC community.

Capital Nights aims to improve the quality of life for those in DC who feel like a night out with their friends may be out of their means. Everyone is equal at Capital Nights, and they’re very grateful and blessed to help people celebrate their most intimate moments such as anniversaries, birthday parties, graduations, and other community events. The team also likes to be transparent that all profits are used to reinvest in their people and the community.

The celebration aimed to express gratitude for women's invaluable contributions and to raise support for the International NGO, Women In Monitoring & Auditing Global Elections (WIMAGE). WIMAGE is dedicated to empowering women and enhancing their active participation in leadership and governance.

Capital Nights underscored the progress made but acknowledged the ongoing need for equality at the same time.

All proceeds from the event will be channeled towards WIMAGE and Capital Nights. This dual-purpose approach aims to increase awareness and expand philanthropic endeavors. The funds will specifically aid WIMAGE in conducting more capacity-building programs, advancing research-based solutions, and initiating projects that empower women.

Capital Nights' commitment to equality shines through as they continue to provide memorable moments while championing a brighter future for all.
