At just 21 years old, Matias “Mati” Kojusner is balancing life as a marketing student at FIT while quietly building one of the most exciting emerging nightlife brands between New York City and Miami. But for Mati, Casa Pérenne was never only about parties. It was always about creating a feeling. The name itself tells the story.

Casa means “house” in Spanish. Pérenne, inspired by the French word for “everlasting,” translates loosely to “everlasting house.” Together, Casa Pérenne represents a space that people can return to again and again. A place built around music, connection, and shared experiences.

Before any of that existed, though, Mati was simply a young kid from Miami working at a coffee shop in New York, saving every dollar he could. While many of his classmates traveled abroad during high school, those trips had never been financially accessible to him. Eventually, after moving to New York and earning his own money, he and his best friend finally booked the trip they had always dreamed about. They traveled through Madrid, Lisbon, and Ibiza.

That experience changed everything. “It was just raw, unfiltered fun,” Mati says. Beyond the nightlife itself, he was struck by how accessible and alive the culture felt. People gathered for music because they genuinely loved it. There were no barriers. No exclusivity.

Inspired by young event organizers in Miami and fueled by a newfound love for house music, Mati began building Casa Pérenne while still in his teens. He had no blueprint. Instead, he learned by helping others first, designing flyers, shooting film photography, and studying how successful collectives operated.

Breaking into nightlife as a 20-year-old came with challenges of its own. Many of the people he negotiated with had decades more experience, and as a newcomer, he quickly learned that not everyone in the industry has the best intentions. There were deals that fell through, unanswered emails, and moments where confidence mattered just as much as experience. “You have to walk into a room like you belong there,” Mati says. “Confidence is king.”

Then came December 2024. His first Casa Pérenne event attracted nearly 100 people. Financially, it was a loss. Personally, it was proof. “I can do it,” he remembers thinking.

Since then, the growth has been remarkable. Events have generated over 1,600 RSVPs, attracted notable DJs, and brought together creatives from countless backgrounds. But despite the momentum, Mati still runs much of the operation himself, from talent booking to creative direction.

His philosophy remains simple: lead with love. “Take your time,” he says. “Build real relationships.”

For Mati Kojusner, success has never been about chasing trends or money. It is about creating spaces where people feel alive. And judging by Casa Pérenne’s growth, that is exactly what is happening.
