At just 22, Justin Vasquez, more commonly known as Champ, isn’t just designing clothes. He’s building something rooted in faith and God. Raised in Newark, New Jersey, Champ’s early life was shaped by searching for something deeper, but not always in the best way. What started in the streets eventually transformed into a calling.

“I was lost,” Champ says plainly. “I was just trying to find love.”

That search led him to lose his stability, direction, and nearly everything around him. But in one of his lowest moments, something shifted. What Champ describes as a spiritual turning point was what gave him a vision. That vision would become Champ’s clothing brand, GodsWorld. It’s a brand that merges fashion, art, and faith into something intentional.

The team consists of Carlos Rodriguez, co-founder and fashion designer, and Vinicio Vega, brand photographer, “the man behind the magic,” says Champ.

Unlike many brands that begin with aesthetics, GodsWorld began with meaning. Champ was introduced to fashion organically, first through creative collaboration, then through experimentation. The interesting thing was that before the clothing brand's conception, Champ was selling electronics, which evolved into designing pieces on an iPad, printing samples, and eventually building full clothing collections by hand.

The process wasn’t polished, but ultimately persistent.

From late nights in Manhattan brainstorming ideas to setting up a DIY production space in his own home in Jersey, Champ and his team built everything from the ground up. No shortcuts. No handouts.

“We were on 40 Wall St. for months, just figuring it out,” Champ recalls, “Writing ideas, building the vision, and everything that came with it.”

That same energy carries into every drop. Whether it’s hoodies, tees, or accessories, each piece reflects not just style, but intention. And beyond the product, Champ is focused on creating opportunities for other creatives, hosting fashion shows, and even giving back through charity-driven events.

But what separates Champ is that for him, GodsWorld isn’t just a brand. It’s a mission.

“I want people to feel what I felt,” says Champ. “Peace. Purpose. Love.”

Now, with plans to expand into film, storytelling, and even furniture design, Champ is thinking beyond clothing while building a platform for him and his community to use.
